11 am - noon | Making basic garb easier and better (oh, no, not another T-tunic class!) | Lady Eve Stoneheart, the Wagand, Forester | This class will go over a few “need to know” items so you can make basic garb easier and better looking, and not made by “Omar the Tentmaker”. I will discuss both period and more simplified, modern, layout, and how to economize on fabric cost without losing quality. I will also touch briefly upon simple pants, or ‘trews’, as well as skirts.NO SEWING SKILLS NECESSARY. You say you cannot sew? The skills you need can be learned in 15 minutes. 1 pm - 2 pm | Sleeve Armholes and Caps | Lady Eve Stoneheart, the Wagand, Forester | Creating a custom armhole and cap template, and other things to consider. The value of a two part sleeve is also discussed, since many of us have larger biceps that make fitting standard sleeve difficult. We will run thru creating your own “sample” template, and present a survey of some of the more useful videos on the subject. | |||
