Toys for Tots

General Information:

Join us for a day of tournaments and frivolity at Toys for Tots - including a Consort's Prize Tournament! An event origionally held in the Shire of White Waters, we will be collecting toys to donate. A new and unopened toy will be required if you wish to fight in each tournament.

Costs

  • Registration Fee: $25 ($15 for members). Youth 13-17 $10. Youth 12 and under free. $5 discount with a toy (1 discount per person)
  • Lunch: $7 ($5 with a toy donated)
  • Reservation Payments: Make Checks payable to SCA, Inc.- Shire of Narrental.
    Please still check in at the gate even if pre-registered.

Staff

Per Toys for Tots FAQ: No realistic looking weapons or food. Teen and preteen gifts are appreciated as this is an often overlooked group. Suggestions: Earbuds, charge cords, books, sports equipment, purses, backpacks, et cetera.

Attention

For those who will be bringing children not their own: There are TWO forms that you will need to bring for each child. They both need to be signed by the child's parent or legal guardian. ONE MUST BE NOTARIZED per Indiana law.

2) This form is the usual Minor Waiver: http://www.sca.org/docs/pdf/chldwaiv.pdf.

PLEASE have both these forms filled out and signed/notarized where appropriate for each child you will be bringing that you are not the parent or legal guardian of. This requirement is out of our control and the children affected will not be allowed to attend if they are not completed properly before arrival. Thank you.

Consort's Prize Tournament:

The Consort's Prize Tournament is a non-competitive novice arts display sponsored by the Kingdom of the Middle and Her Majesty. Designed to help those artisans wanting to expand their art and research.

Entrant Information

  • Entrants must be sponsored by a Member of the Order of the Evergreen (or equivalent) or a Companion of the Order of the Laurel.
  • Each entrant can present one (1) entry.
  • The project must be completed within the past 12 months (1 year), but can have been entered into another arts display or competition.
  • Minimal documentation is requested.

Sponsor Information

  • Sponsors may sponsor a maximum of two entrants.
  • Sponsors must bring one prize per each entrant sponsored. These prizes will be awarded at the end of the day and must be awarded to entrants who were sponsored by another sponsor.

Prizes

Her Majesty will award the Queen's Prize for the entry or entries of her choice. Each entrant will receive a prize from one of the sponsors.

Lunch

Lunch is $7 ($5 with a toy donated).
